nano winner

Me, Me, Me!

I won, I completed my 50,000 words on day 25. This was a great reason to celebrate. And I did. But I also wanted to have the first draft of “something in the water” finished by the end of November.

And I did it, on Friday 30th of November 2012, at 5pm, I wrote THE END on the final page.

Reader it’s so exciting and deflating to have completed my second first draft. Now, it’s done and it’s hard to know what to do with the days ahead. Of course cleaning the house and restocking the fridge was a must. Also reintroducing myself to my husband, family and friends was up there too.

So before I start on the next project, I’ll just take a moment to bask in the glow of having done what lot’s of aspiring authors never quite do, FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT.

Then in the new year I’ll begin the editing process. Until then, I’m just going to first, have a little rest, then go back to “On the River Bank” and begin the rewrites 🙂
